ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued notice to all parties for September 6 in the reference against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the Panama Leaks.

A full bench of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan heard the petitions seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

During the proceedings, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lawyer Latif Khosa said that Hassan Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz’s were kids at the time when the offshore companies were established.

He said that the prime minister lied about his offshore companies, adding that it is completely wrong that prime minister had sold his steel mills in Saudi Arabia to buy flats in London.

“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the real owner of the offshore companies. It is full effort of the royal family that the Panama inquiry should not be conducted,” he maintained.

Khosa said that all political parties should resign from the parliament if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is declared ineligible.
