ECP orders army deployment in NA-120 by-polls

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Thursday ordered the deployment of army during the NA-120 by-elections.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has formally written a letter to Defense Ministry in this regard and directed the ministry for the deployment of army in and outside the polling stations.

The jawans of Pakistan army would be deployed until the end of the vote count.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan people’s Party (PPP) had demanded the deployment of army during NA-120 by-polls.


Meanwhile, a Returning Officer (RO) had also pleaded for the deployment of army.
