ECP suspends 261 lawmakers for not submitting details of assets
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has suspended 261 lawmakers for not submitting the details of their assets.
The suspended lawmakers include seven senators, 71 MNAs and 82 MPAs from Punjab, 50 MPAs from Sindh, 38 MPAs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 11 MPAs from Balochistan.
Capt (retd) Safdar, son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf, State Minister for CADD Tariq Fazal Ch, State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Minister Awais Leghari and Rajab Baloch are also among the suspended lawmakers.
Moreover, Ayesha Gulalai Wazir, Fehmida Mirza and Shagufta Jamani have also failed to submit the details of their assets.
