ECP’s reply to my letter is shameful, says PTI chairman Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PTI chairman Imran Khan has said that the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) reply to his letter is shameful.
Addressing a press conference at Bani Gala on Tuesday, he said that the Judicial Commission and political parties had expressed distrust with the ECP members.
He said that he was disappointed by the decision of the Judicial Commission. “Should a constitutional institution not be questioned if it is doing a wrong act?” he said. “My party is the second biggest party and it has the right to question the ECP.”
The PTI chairman alleged that the N-League had earned Rs 30-40 billion. “Firstly, they earn money and then spend it in the election,” he maintained.
He said that fair investigations were not possible in the presence of Nawaz Sharif. “There is no benefit of a change in the law till conducting accountability,” he said.
He paid tributes to Election Tribunal Justice Kazim Malik for facing the pressure.
