Efforts to convince Rabbani go in vain
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The efforts to convince Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani to return to the upper house went in vain.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and conveyed Rabbani’s concerns.
The prime minister has directed Dar to again meet Rabbani today (Saturday).
Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has announced complete support for the Senate chairman.
In his message, former president Zardari asked Rabbani to continue his protest.
Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani had on Friday stopped working in protest following the absence of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader and federal minister.
