Eidul Fitr observed with religious zeal, fervor across country
ISLAMABAD ( 92 News ) – Eidul Fitr was observed across the country with religious zeal and fervor on Wednesday.
Big Eid congregations were held at open places, mosques and Eidgahs in all major cities and towns across the country. Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
Prayers were also be offered for early liberation of occupied Muslim territories including Kashmir and Palestine.
In the federal capital, the main eid congregation was held at the Faisal Mosque where President Arif Alvi along with parliamentarians, diplomats of Islamic countries and a large number of faithful offered their eid prayers.
On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah.
The President later mixed up with the people and exchanged eid greetings.
In Karachi, the day dawned with 21 gun-salutes while special prayers were offered for the safety, security and prosperity of the country and unity of Muslim ummah.
The main Eid congregation was held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah (old Polo Ground).
Meanwhile, Sindh Government has made elaborate security arrangements to maintain law and order situation in the province especially in Karachi.
In Punjab, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar offered Eid prayer in Lahore.
The main congregation was held at Badshahi Mosque, which was attended by Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
