Facts pertaining to electoral result should be public, says Shehbaz
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that the facts relating to the electoral results should be made public.
Addressing to the session of NA, Shehbaz Sharif said that the PML-N hope that parliamentary commission will compile its report at earliest. He mentioned that the opposition parties welcome parliamentary commission on alleged rigging in the last general election.
“Those who chanted slogans of ‘tabdeeli’ (change or transformation) made myriad tall claims and created the dreams of relief in the mind of people but deluded public,” the PML-N president said. He said mini-budget tantamount to inflation bomb and It did not expect from Finance Minister Asad Umar that he will bring such anti-public budget.
Shehbaz Sharif accused the federal government of creating difficulties for the under-privileged class. He said that 143 per cent hiked gas prices, adding that If the government raise the price only for the rich no one raise objection but increase in taxes on the poor is an injustice towards their poor.
The PML-N leaders claimed that he did not increase the gas prices in his tenure even a single penny. He demanded that the government should take the decision of hiking the gas prices back. He also claimed that the PTI had come into power through massive rigging instead of the electoral mandate.
On diplomatic affairs, Shehbaz asked why the Chinese foreign minister was not provided warm reception upon his arrival. He alleged that the PTI of inflicting damage on landmark China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) by hurling reckless statements.
“Those who laid foundation of PTI are now absence from the ranks of the party. Not on merit, the federal government is awarding ministries to stalwarts and friends, Shehbaz took a jibe on the appointment of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s close aide Zulfi Bukhari.
