Fahad Malik murder case: Prime suspect Raja Arshad detained from Torkham border
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The prime suspect in the murder case of Barrister Fahad Malik has been apprehended while trying to flee to Afghanistan from Torkham border crossing.
Raja Arshad along with his accomplices Nauman Khokhar and others had killed British-Pakistani citizen Barrister Fahad Malik when the accused fired bullets on his car in Islamabad’s F-10 area.
The accused was trying to flee to Afghanistan from Torkham border crossing but was arrested as his passport was cancelled and his name was added in the Exit Control List (ECL).
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar had taken notice of the incident and ordered to arrest the accused.
Police had detained Nauman Khokhar, another accused in the murder case of Barrister Fahad Malik, on Saturday from the courtroom after his bail was cancelled.
Barrister Fahad Malik was killed in a shooting on Monday night in Islamabad. He was mediating a case between two parties involving groups linked with Tariq Malik and duo Raja Aarhsed and Nauman Khokhar.
Fahad Malik was the nephew of former chairman Senate Muhammad Mian Soomro and son-in-law of Syed Wajid Bukhari, who was Minister of Environment in former president Pervez Musharraf’s cabinet.
