ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that the failed ‘Jalsi’ in Multan has baffled Imran Khan.

Reacting to Imran Khan’s address in Multan, Pervaiz Rashid said that Khan Sahib sang and danced in Multan instead of going to Karachi.

Meanwhile, Zaeem Qadri, a spokesman for the Punjab government, said that people have rejected Imran Khan.

Earlier, Pervaiz Rashid said that the judicial commission probing the alleged rigging in 2013 general elections should be allowed to work in an independent manner.

Talking to the media in Rawalpindi on Friday, he said no one should interfere in the working of the judicial commission.

The minister said Pakistan is facing different challenges, the biggest, the menace of terrorism. He said instead of indulging in allegations and counter allegations, we should work hand-in-hand to tackle the issue of terrorism.

To a question, he said that Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal had briefed the political leadership in detail about three routes that would link the Chinese border with Gwadar.

He said the leaders present in the briefing expressed their full confidence in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

Pervaiz Rashid said it was decided to form a Parliamentary Oversight Committee, with representatives from all political parties, to help expedite implementation of the corridor project.

The minister said there is consensus in the country about continuation of the democratic process, change of government through ballot, elimination of terrorism from the country and work for progress and prosperity of people.
