ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As the religious group activists clashed with security forces for a second day, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has on Sunday chaired an important consultative meeting in Punjab House to evolve strategy to tackle the situation. Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal along with district administration and police officials from the twin cities attended the meeting. The meeting discussed the situation arising in the backdrop of the religious parties sit-in which continued on the 21st consecutive day. Ahsan Iqbal briefed the meeting about the operation against the protesting activists of religious parties. The meeting reviewed different options to end the sit-in Sources said that Punjab CM is expected to meeting Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss the situation arising in the backdrop of the Faizabad sit-in.
