Fayyazul Hassan Chohan lashes out at Fawad Chaudhry

LAHORE (92 News) – Lashing out at his own party’s leader and Minister for Science Fawad Chaudhary, Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has said that Fawad always interfere in the matter which makes difficulty for the country.

The Punjab information minister criticized the behavior and attitude of the federal minister during talk show Ho Kya Raha Hai’ with Arif Nizami. He said that Fawad Chaudhry is often victim of confusion and tried to make heroic stunt every month.

The Punjab information minister mentioned that the federal minister always takes that matter into his hands which country has to suffer.

Chohan advised Fawad Chaudhry that the behavior should not be above the discipline but he always discuss the controversies. “I request to Fawad for controlling himself from these types of disciplinary violations,” he said.

The provincial minister also maintained that the federal minister should refrain from any discussions regarding the replacement of Chief Minister Usman Bazdar. “In the previous meeting, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan assured that Usman Buzdar will serve as chief minister for five years,” he explained.

“I never spoke against my colleagues but now I am compelled to speak. Fawad Chaudhry as minister for science has to do something about progress in science,” Fayyazul Hassan Chohan further said.

Earlier, Fawad Chaudhary said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was facing pressure because of the Punjab government’s failure to deliver. He also criticized the Punjab government in PTI core committee meeting held on Thursday (yesterday).

He pointed out that districts are not getting the provincial National Finance Commission (NFC) Award.

Fawad Chaudhry wrote a letter to Imran Khan and questioned availability of discretionary funds to chief ministers.

In his letter, the science minister appealed from the prime minister to take notice of the important matter. He questioned the availability of discretionary funds to chief ministers, saying that the practice was a violation of the Article 140-A of the Constitution and is against public interest.

Fawad further stated that Shehbaz Sharif had not given finance commission award to the districts in his tenure and unfortunately, the PTI government has not announce to give finance commission award to the districts till now. “The districts are not getting their parts due to violation of the Article 140-A of the constitution and the problems are being increased,” he added.

Earlier, criticizing the Punjab government, Fawad Chaudhry informed PM Imran that the Punjab government had only used 77 billion out of the 350bn allocated for development purposes. Upon Fawad’s pointing out the prime minister directed the provincial government to release the award.
