LAHORE (92 News) – Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah joined farmers’ protest to express solidarity with them in Lahore on Wednesday.

He slammed the government, saying: “Fight with Modi instead of fighting with farmers.”

Addressing the farmers, Shah said that Bhutto’s party always stood by the farmers. The oppression of farmer community must be hurting the souls of the martyred leaders of PPP, he said.

“I am addressing these farmers outside the Assembly which is a place meant for the representatives of Pakistan,” he said.

It is impossible to stop these farmers from protesting by putting them in jail, he added. Shah said that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto would also join the protest of farmers if their demands are not met.

The opposition leader further said that the current government is least bothered of the issues of farmers, they only know how to do corruption and steal public money.

Other party leaders, including Qamar Zaman Kaira and Manzoor Wattoo also joined the protest.
