Finance Bill 2016 unanimously approved in National Assembly
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Finance Bill 2016 was unanimously approved in the National Assembly on Wednesday.
With the approval of the Finance Bill 2016, over Rs 48 trillion federal budget has been approved.
The issue of salaries and privileges of the members of parliament has been included in the Finance Bill 2016.
The increase in MPs’ salaries will be made through a notification instead of a law.
Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Kisan Relief Package would get implemented after the signing of the Finance Bill.
He said that the business could not run without supplementary grants. “In 2012-13, the volume of the supplementary grants was Rs1439 billion, which has been reduced to Rs261 billion.
The minister said that talks over the exchange of information with the Swiss government were going on.
He said that the prime minister would revise it after coming to Pakistan.
