Finance Minister Ishaq Dar inaugurates Pakistan Stock Exchange

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has on Monday said that we can enjoy being a nuclear state only by becoming economically strong.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar inaugurated the Pakistan Stock Exchange at a ceremony in Islamabad on Monday (today) after the merger of the stock exchanges of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange is ‘PSX’.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of businessmen and other high ranking officials.

Addressing the ceremony, Ishaq Dar said that we wanted to work on mega projects are underway, adding that tax net is being increased. “A number of countries have shown interest for investment in Pakistan in different fields,” he said.

The minister said that they want to promote tax culture in Pakistan, adding that projects having national importance should not be politicized. “According to JETRO, Pakistan is an attractive country for investment,” he said.

Dar said that Pakistan’s economy has been recognized by twenty-two international institutions as stable economy as the predictions of default has been buried.
