Fire guts hundreds of shops in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A fire broke out at weekly Bazaar in Islamabad on Wednesday resulting in complete destruction of dozens of stalls and partial damage to 100 others.

The fire, which started at a weekly Bazaar in Islamabad’s Sector H-9 near Peshawar Mor, razed down hundreds of shops and partially damaged 100 others.

It quickly spread to neighboring shops in the same market in just a few minutes.

On information, at least 25-fighting vehicles rushed to the spot and brought the flame under control.

Valuables worth millions of rupees were gutted in the fire, while no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.

The fire was reportedly caused by short-circuiting.
