First LNG shipment from Qatar reaches Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – The first shipment from Qatar of 147,000 cubic feet of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) reached Karachi’s Port Qasim on Thursday.
According to sources, cranes are working over the clock to make passage for the ship to connect with Gas Terminal.
Earlier on Wednesday, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi informed the National Assembly that LNG will start flowing in country’s natural gas system on March 31.
However, Abbasi failed to satisfy opposition lawmakers on questions about pricing mechanism.
