Six martyred as mosque roof collapses in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – At least six people were martyred while 14 others injured when the roof of a mosque located in Karachi’s North Nazimabad caved in on Friday.

As per details, the incident occurred during the Friday prayers when the roof of the under-construction mosque caved in in Landi Kotal Chowrangi in Karachi’s North Nazimabad, killing four people on the spot. The condition of five injured is said to be critical.

After being informed the rescue teams reached the spot and rushed the injured people to nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Six of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. Hundreds of people were offering prayers in the mosque at the time of incident.

On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that who gave the permission to hold Friday prayer if the mosque was under-construction.

He further ordered the Karachi Commissioner to submit report of the incident.
