FO summons Indian deputy high commissioner
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Foreign Office (FO) summoned Indian deputy high commissioner JP Singh on Tuesday, diplomatic sources said.
Pakistan strongly protested against Indian violation of the Working Boundary. The FO gave a protest letter to JP Singh.
The Indian forces have been resorting to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control and Working Boundary for one week, the FO statement read.
At least four Pakistani citizens have been martyred since October 21 while 21 have been injured, it further read.
According to the FO, it was conveyed to the Indian side that it should investigate the incident and share the findings with Pakistan.
It also asked India to instruct its troops to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit, refrain from targeting the villages and maintain peace on the Working Boundary and the Line of Control.
