KARACHI (92 News) – PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari has said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has put solidarity of the country at stake for self.

Talking to the media on Thursday, he said that the PPP will not let Nawaz Sharif play the dangerous game of a clash with institutions.

“Nawaz Sharif wants to weaken the parliament, judiciary and all institutions. The country where state institutions are destroyed plunges into a civil war. Such countries face the situation like Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya,” he said.

Asif Zardari said that Nawaz Sharif will run away after destroying the country as he did in the past. “We have to live here and the PPP will not allow Nawaz Sharif to do this,” he added.

On the other hand, former president Pervez Musharraf said that the rulers were pushing the country to a civil war.

He said that the culprits of the Model Town tragedy should be punished.
