Funeral prayer of man killing in alleged shootout to be offered today
KARACHI (92 News) – The funeral prayers of the man who was allegedly killing in police encounter in Karachi yesterday will be offered today (Sunday) after his body was shifted to his native town in Sahiwal.
Maqsood, was killed by the law enforcement authorities in an alleged shootout near Faisal Base at Shahra-e-Faisal, the police authorities backtracked from their initial statement by stating that the innocent citizen was in fact killed due to the firing of the real suspect engaged in a shootout with the police.
The deceased was the only brother of six sisters, and was going to tie knot few days later. The dead body has been shifted to Sahiwal, the home town of the deceased.
The family of deceased Maqsood alleged that police have murdered him, and requested Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to take notice of the incident.
