Good chance of sighting Shawal moon today, says Director Met Office

KARACHI (92 News) – Met Office Director Abdul Rashid has on Tuesday said that the prospects for the Eid moon sighting in Karachi is 50 percent as the age of moon would more than 27 hours today.

Talking to 92 News, Met Office Director Abdul Rashid said that the Moon will be on lower angle of 8 degrees for 22 minutes, adding that the moon could be seen for 44 minutes after the sunset.

He said that potentially moon could be seen in Gwadar, Jiwani and Pasni.


On the other hand, the met office said that the weather would be partly cloudy today in Karachi and the temperature would be between 33 to 35 degrees, while it is likely to drizzle tonight.
