Govt focused on improving medical facilities, says President Mamnoon Hussain

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Mamnoon Hussain has on Wednesday directed the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to implement suggestions proposed in the report of federal ombudsman to improve working of PIMS.

Federal Ombudsman Salman Farooqi has presented a report to President Mamnoon Hussain on the improvement of medical facilities in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad, during a meeting in President House.

Minister of State for Kids Barrister Usman Ibrahim and Minister of State for Health Saira Afzal Tarar were also present in the meeting.

The President said PIMS is receiving more patients than its capacity and therefore, there is need to prepare a strategy to tackle the situation.

He expressed the confidence that situation would improve not only in PIMS but also in other hospitals of the Capital.

The President said the Government is focused on improving medical facilities for people and in this regard necessary steps are being taken.
