Govt releases Rs123b for development projects
ISLAMABAD (92 News)- The government has so far released over Rs 123 billion for different development projects out of total Rs 800 billion Public Sector Development Programme for the current financial year 2016-17.
According to details, over Rs 42 billion were released for special federal development programme for Temporary Displaced Persons and security enhancement. Over Rs 11 billion have been released for development of special areas, including AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, States and Frontier Regions and FATA.
Similarly, Rs 19 billion were released to National Highway Authority for different roads and highways projects. Over Rs 11 billion have been released to WAPDA for various power and water sector development projects.
Over Rs 20 billion were released for different projects relating to Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and National Health Services.
