Govt to invite opposition parties for ToRs Committee meeting: Pervaiz Rashid

LAHORE (92 News) – Following the return of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after his Open-Heart surgery in London, the government has mobilized once again to try and break the deadlock of the Parliamentary Committee formed to formulate the Terms of Reference (ToRs).

The government has indicated to call a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee formed to formulate the Terms of Reference (ToRs) and the Parliamentary Committee will again form suggestions.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid said that the opposition parties will also be invited in the meeting.

He said that thinking of only three members of the opposition is different, while the sic members of government are on the same page.


On the other hand, the government has also decided to contact opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah over the appointment of the members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will hold consultation with the opposition leader in National Assembly for the appointment of ECP members.
