Govt won’t compromise on Karachi operation, says PM Nawaz Sharif

KARACHI (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appreciated the role of intelligence agencies, Rangers and police in the Karachi operation.

Addressing a meeting on Monday, he said that the government would not compromise on the Karachi operation as it was aimed at restoring peace in the city.

Briefing the meeting, IGP Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali said that the accused involved in attacks on Military Police and Rangers had been arrested.

The prime minister expressed concern over weak prosecution and investigation.


Federal ministers, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and military officers also attended the meeting.
