Gulf Crisis: PM Nawaz didn’t say he was mediating, says Acting Saudi ambassador
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Acting Saudi ambassador Marwan bin Radwan Mirdad has on Friday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had not talked about Saudi-Qatar crisis during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that Nawaz Sharif hadn’t told that he wanted to mediate between the two countries. “Whatever is in the media is not correct,” he said.
The acting Saudi Ambassador in Islamabad said that Islamic military alliance led by Saudi Arabia is against terrorism, and not against any specific country.
“If Qatar abides by the 2014 agreement, the Saudi-Qatar relationship can improve,” he said.
Marwan bin Radwan Mirdad said the boycott of Qatar can be ended if it accepts the Saudi demands.
