Gun was not loaded after several attempts, says Ali Raza Abidi’s guard
KARACHI (92 News) – The security guard of slain Ali Raza Abidi on Wednesday recorded his statement and said that he was unable to load the gun despite several attempts when firing incident happened outside the MQM leader’s house on Tuesday night.
According to the video recorded statement by the guard to police, he revealed that he was appointed as a security guard at Bungalow of Ali Raza Abidi some 55 days ago and he was appointed on the duty from 7pm to 7am.
Describing the details of firing incident, he said that when he opened the door of the bungalow on arrival of Ali Raza Abidi, he had the gun in his one hand. Suddenly, he heard a voice of firing when he opened a one side of door.
During the recording of his statement, he said that he tried to load his gun but failed to do so after several attempts, the bullet was not loaded in the chamber.
He described that after few moments later of the attack, Ali Raza Abidi was lying on the seat of his vehicle after being hit by several bullets.
“Neither company nor Ali Raza Abidi asked me to check the working of the gun at least ones, since assuming his duty,” the guard said in his statement.
It is pertinent to mention here that the security agencies have been unveiled due to this incident. The attacker shot dead Ali Raza Abdi in presence of the armed security guard. The question raised that If the security guard was trained then may be Abdi was not killed by the attackers.
Earlier on Tuesday, former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MNA Ali Raza Abidi was gunned down late night on December 25 outside his residence in DHA area of Karachi.
