Hassan Nawaz records statement before JIT
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Hassan Nawaz, son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the Panama Leaks case.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son recorded his statement before the six-man panel during three hours of questioning.
It was the third time that he appeared before the investigation team.
Later talking to the media, Hassan Nawaz said he has submitted all the relevant documents relating to his business in Britain, adding that these documents include all the information including his bank accounts and loans.
He said that he has been doing business in Britain for the last 15 years and the British authorities have not accused him of any wrongdoing.
“I will respond to all the queries but justice should be done in the case,” he added.
Hussain Nawaz will appear before the JIT tomorrow while Marriyum Nawaz on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister have already recorded their statements before the investigation team.
The JIT is expected to present its final report to the Supreme Court on the tenth of this month.
Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s cousin Tariq Shafi appeared before the JIT and recorded his statement before the six-man panel during three hours of questioning.
Later talking to media after leaving the Judicial Academy on Sunday, he said that the JIT has not summoned him again.
Tariq Shafi said that that he has briefed the six-man panel regarding the Gulf Steel.
