Heart patients being fleeced in Punjab’s govt hospitals
LAHORE (92 News) – Heart patients are being fleeced in public hospitals in the province, said sources.
Ajmal, a resident of Kasur, visited Ghulab Devi where doctors asked him to get a stent placed due to blockage in his arteries.
Later, doctors placed a stent, gave him a report of two stents and charged Rs 139,000 from him.
When Ajmal was examined at Punjab Institute of Cardiology, he was given a report of a stent.
Ajmal has appealed to the Health Department high-ups to hold an inquiry into the matter.
