Heavy rain lashes parts of Punjab, turns weather pleasant

LAHORE (92 News) – Heavy rain lashed several cities of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Toba Tek Singh on Wednesday.

Heavy rain with strong winds lashed Lahore early Wednesday. Several feeders in the cities were tripped due to rain, plunging most parts of the city into darkness. Strong winds also uprooted number of trees in the city.

Two persons were injured in a roof collapse accident near Thokar Niaz Baig area following the heavy downpour.

Earlier, Met Office had predicted rain-thundershower at scattered places including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Mardan and Peshawar divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next twelve hours.

Rain-thunderstorm with strong gusty winds is expected at isolated places of D.I. Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Quetta, Zhob, Sibi and Larkana divisions.
