Horse-trading: Imran Khan issues show-cause notices to 20 lawmakers
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PTI chairman Imran Khan has issued show-cause notices to 20 lawmakers besides expelling them from the party.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said that the PPP paid Rs 950 million to the PTI members.
He said that the said lawmakers will be given an opportunity to respond to the allegations. “Later, their names will be sent to the National Accountability Bureau,” he said.
The PTI chairman said that the people belonging to other parties also sold their votes. “The other parties should also expel their people who sold their votes,” he said.
According to the report, the PML-N bid for Rs 120 million, while 14 members were paid Rs 8.5 million each.
Three lawmakers received Rs 38 million each, while six members received Rs 40 million each.
Those who allegedly sold their votes are: Nargis Ali, Dina Naz, Nagina Khan, Fauzia Bibi, Naseem Hayat, Sardar Idrees, Obaid Mayar, Abdul Haq, Zahid Durrani, Qurban Khan, Amjad Afridi, Arif Younis, Javed Naseem, Yasin Khan, Faisal Zaman, Sami Alizai, Miraj Hamayun, Khatoon Bibi, Babar Saleem and Wajihuz Zaman.
