Hussain Nawaz appears before JIT, interrogated for over five hours
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Hussain Nawaz, son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Tuesday appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe Panama Leaks case, for the sixth time.
The JIT interrogated him for five and a half hours.
Talking to the media after the hearing, Hussain Nawaz said that they respected the institutions and would appear whenever they would be summoned.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz will appear before the JIT tomorrow.
As the July 10 deadline for the JIT to submit report in the Supreme Court approaches, the six-man panel had summoned Hussain Nawaz, son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier on arrival at the federal Judicial Academy, he was accompanied by PML-N leader Asif Kirmani.
Earlier Hassan Nawaz and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the Panama Leaks case the third time and recorded his statement before the six-man panel during three hours of questioning.
Later talking to the media, Hassan Nawaz said he has submitted all the relevant documents relating to his business in Britain, adding that these documents include all the information including his bank accounts and loans.
The six-man panel has also summoned Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz on July 5, 2017. The JIT had also written a letter to the Islamabad IG, asking him to appoint a female DSP with PM’s daughter Maryam Nawaz.
