I met MQM chief Altaf Hussain twice, Imran Farooq murder case co-accused Moazzam Ali tells JIT
KARACHI (92 News) – Moazzam Ali, a co-accused of the Imran Farooq murder case, has revealed that he has met MQM chief Altaf Hussain twice.
He told the joint investigation team (JIT) that he had first time met Altaf Hussain in 2001. “I attended the ‘walima’ of Altaf Hussain who gave him an autograph on an Rs 100 note,” he disclosed.
He said that Altaf Hussain was informed about anomalies in China cutting in 2007.
Moazzam Ali revealed that the plan for the murder of Imran Farooq was made twice – in 2007 and 2010.
He said that code name ‘Mamoon’ was used in the murder of Imran Farooq.
He said that he monthly donates to Khidmat Khalaq Foundation. “Besides Kashif, Mohsin and Khalid Shamim, Abid Anwar also knew about the murder of Imran Farooq in advance.”
Moazzam Ali said that main accused Mohsin and Kashif fled from London after an hour of the incident.
The JIT informed that Moazzam Ali had repeatedly tried to conceal the details. “Moazzam Ali refused to go to and come from London, but accepted when proofs were presented before him,” he said.
