LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah took notice of the cases registered against journalists and anchorpersons, saying that he himself will look into the matter.

Talking to the media in the Punjab Assembly on Thursday, he said that the DPO and the SHO could not probe the allegations leveled against them.

He said that no one would accept the accountability process if only the prime minister and his family were held accountable in the Panama Leaks.

“All the people involved in corruption, including the offshore company owned by Imran Khan and rental power projects, will be held accountable at all costs,” he maintained.

About the opposition’s ToRs, the minister said that the government had no objection to the ToRs, but they had only targeted the prime minister and his family. “Who will hold Jahangir Tareen and the intellectual getting the LNG quota accountable?” he questioned.

Rana Sanaullah said that the Panama Leaks had become a ‘Pajama’ and now it had become a ‘Chori Dar Pajama’ as well as a necklace for Imran Khan.

Zaeem Qadri, a spokesman for the Punjab government, said that the government fully believed in the independence of journalism and revengeful activities against journalists would not be tolerated.

He also condemned the cases registered against the journalists.
