IHC moved for contempt of court proceedings against Nawaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court seeking contempt of court proceedings against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Makhdoom Niaz Inqlabi and Ibrar Raza advocates, the petitioners, contended that Nawaz Sharif had ridiculed the Supreme Court during a rally from Islamabad to Lahore.
They said that former prime minister had made anti-judiciary speeches.
They demanded that proceedings should be initiated against Nawaz Sharif under Article 204 of the Constitution.
They also demanded a ban on Nawaz Sharif’s speeches against the judiciary.
