IHC reserves verdict on Mumtaz Qadri’s plea

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Islamabad High Court has reserved its verdict on Mumtaz Qadri’s appeal against his death sentence in former governor Punjab Salman Taseer murder case.

A two-member bench of the IHC heard Qadri’s appeal against his conviction.

Mumtaz Qadri was handed death penalty by an anti-terrorism court on October 1, 2011 for murdering Punjab governor Salman Taseer at Kohsar Market in Islamabad, after he had called for reform of a law against blasphemy.
