Imam-e-Kaaba calls for unity among Muslim Ummah

MAKKAH (92 News) – Imam-e-Kaaba Abdur Rehman al-Sudais has on Sunday called upon the Muslim Ummah to demonstrate unity to face the present day challenges.

In his Hajj Khutba from Masjid Nimra, he said that Muslim Ummah is going through a difficult time and they can overcome these difficulties only through unity.

The Imam-e-Kaaba said that Muslim rulers will have to address the collective problems realizing their responsibilities, adding that terrorism is the biggest problem.

“Islam has no link with terrorism, adding that terrorists have no religion,” he said. He said teachings of Islam based on justice.

He said that Masjid-e-Aqsa was our first Qibla and we must struggle for its freedom, adding that those inciting violence should immediately be eliminated.

Abdur Rehman al-Sudais said that the Ummah should act upon according to the manifesto of Islam and human rights issued by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and should ensure the safety, life, honor of all people.

Imam-e-Kaaba said that the Muslims of Palestinian and Syria are facing difficulties and the Umma should be united to address their problems. He urged Islamic scholars to work together for promotion of inter-harmony and avoid any act which causes scatter of Ummah.

Millions of Hajj pilgrims from across the world gather perform main ritual of Hajj ‘Waqoof-e-Arafat’ in Maidan-e-Arafat. The Hajj pilgrims will offer Zohar and Asar prayers together and listen to “Hajj Khutba” at Masjid-e-Nimra. They will stay in Arafat till sunset spending the day in prayers. Waqoof-e-Arafat on 9th of Zil Hajjah is the main ritual of Hajj.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims from across the world thronged Mina from Makkah as Hajj rituals began Saturday. The Hajj pilgrims offered their Zuhar, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and Fajar prayers at Mina and move to Arafat after sunrise.

They will stay in Arafat till sunset spending the day in prayers and repenting on their sins. The stay at Arafat on 9th of Zil Hijjah is the main ritual of Hajj. President Mamnoon Hussain, Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, and other dignitaries have also arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
