ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Imam-e-Ka’aba Sheikh Khalid Al Ghamdi on Friday has said that Islam is a religion of peace which teaches us unity and tolerance.

Delivering the Friday sermon at the historic Faisal Mosque, he said that Muslims are facing different political and religious clashes when they all have a common holy book, the Quran. “We have one book, one God, one Prophet (PBUH),” he said. “We fast in the same month, we pay Zakat.”

The Imam-e-Ka’aba said that the reason behind the grim state of the Muslims is deviation from the teachings of Islam. “Muslims have been divided into sects and different groups,” he added. “The non-Muslim powers are benefitting out of the differences of opinions among the Muslims.”

Dr Khalid Al Ghamdi said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught us to firmly follow the teachings of Islam. “The Prophet (PBUH) had stressed the fact that Islam has ended racial differences,” he said.

He urged the people to follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Holy Quran.

The mosque was filled with thousands of people who had come to offer Friday prayers behind the Imam-e-Ka’aba.
