IMF lauds govt’s efforts to manage energy crisis

WASHINGTON (92 News) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has acknowledged the concerted efforts of Pakistan government to manage energy shortages in the country.

A recent report by IMF says the government met quarterly performance targets with a large margin reflecting enhanced collection by the distribution companies and reduced distribution losses.

The report appreciated the energy policies of the government and role of Ministry of Water and Power in enforcing the policies and achieving targets given to distribution companies.
