Avenfield reference’s verdict should not be delayed, demands Imran
KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has demanded on Thursday that the verdict of Avenfield reference against Sharif family should not be delayed.
Imran Khan has reached Islamabad from Karachi through PIA flight. He Shunned the Nawaz Sharif’s request and demanded that the accountability court should not delay the verdict against Sharif family in Avenfield reference.
“Everyone knows about the ailing Nawaz Sharif’s wife Kulsoom Nawaz but Sharif family should give the answer that how they get money and purchased all these expensive properties in London,” the PTI chief said.
Imran Khan termed that Sharif family could not answer of these two questions within two years. He said that the nations’ money and the court’s time has been wasted on the case.
The PTI leader insisted that Sharif family told a lie in the court and that the whole nation was waiting for the verdict, adding that this verdict should not be delayed.
Earlier on Wednesday, Nawaz Sharif has appealed to court to reserve the verdict in the Avenfield reference for a few days. He said that he wants to listen to the verdict in courtroom, but cannot go to Pakistan immediately.
“I wish I want to talk to Kulsoom Nawaz before going to Pakistan. I am talking about a few days, not months,” he said. “I am not a dictator and there is no question of running away from the country.”He said that his wife will regain sense after the operation. “Inshallah, she will be out of danger.”
The former premier said that he would go to Pakistan whether the verdict is announced in his favor or not. “I am ready to offer any sacrifice for the respect of the vote,” he declared. He said that the country was not created to remove a prime minister from his designation. “It is my country and I can sacrifice my life for it,” he added.
Meanwhile, the PTI is all set to hold its power show in Charsadda later today. Party chairman Imran Khan will address a rally in Charsadda as part of his campaign trail.
