Imran Khan has himself damaged SKMCH: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has on Wednesday said that those demanding the investigation into Panama leaks those do not have the right to do so as their consciences are shaded.

Addressing the National Assembly session on Wednesday, Khawaja Asif said that they have not but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has damaged the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer hospital (SKMCH).

He criticized PTI chairman for owning an offshore company and said the offshore companies, whether in Panama, Virgin Islands or New Jersey, all are wrong.

The minister said that the Panama Papers leaks named a lot of people, but the spotlight was only on specific politicians.

“If the prime minister could present himself for accountability, then the money invested in the name of charity organizations should also be investigated,” he said.

He said that Prime Minister gave answers to all the questions of the opposition in his speech on Monday in the National Assembly. He said further details will be presented before the forum which will probe into the Panama Papers issue.


Asif said that Parliament should take the Panama Papers issue in its own hand for its resolution. He said in this way its supremacy and prestige will be enhanced.

The Minister said Imran Khan who himself owned offshore company is putting allegations on others. He pointed out that he did not declare offshore company in his assets. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif”s name is not included in Panama Papers but Imran Khan is a beneficiary of an offshore company.

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid declared the opposition’s walkout a catwalk.
