India beat Bangladesh by 45 runs in Asia Cup opener
DHAKA (92 News) – India defeated Bangladesh by 45 runs in the opening match of the Asia Cup at Shere Bangla Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Earlier, India set a target of 167 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
Bangladesh could score only 121 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Sabbir Rahman (44), Taskin Ahmed (15) and Mushfiqur Rahman (16) were top scorers.
A Nehra took three wickets, while Bumrah, Pandya and Ashwin got one wicket each.
RG Sharma (87), HH Pandya (31) and Yuvraj Singh (15) were the main scorers.
Al-Amin Hossain chipped in with three wickets. Mortaza, Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hassan took one wicket each.
