India thrash Sri Lanka by five wickets in Asia Cup
DHAKA (92 News) – India thrashed Sri Lanka by five wickets in the seventh match of Asia Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on Tuesday.
Batting first after being invited to bat, Sri Lanka amassed 138 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Kapugedra (30), Siriwardana (22), Mathews (18) and Dilshan (18) were the main scorers.
Bumrah, Ashwin and Pandya took two wickets, while Nehra got one wicket.
In reply, India achieved the target in 19.2 overs.
V Kohli (56), SK Raina (25) and Yuvraj Singh (35) were top scorers.
Kalusekara chipped in with two wickets, while Perera, Herath and Shanaka got one wicket each.
V Kohli was declared Players of the Match.
