India’s Sadhvi Prachi calls Shahrukh Khan a ‘Pakistani agent’
MUMBAI (92 News) –Firebrand Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sadhvi Prachi on Tuesday unleashed a scathing attack on Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan over his ‘extreme intolerance in India’ comment and called the actor a ‘Pakistani agent’.
“Shahrukh Khan is a Pakistani agent. He should go settle there. By talking about returning the awards (including Padma Shri) he has committed treason. He should be punished for this. Not only Shahrukh Khan, but all those who have returned their awards should be tried for treason,” said Sadhvi Prachi.
The leader also suggested that the actor should move to Pakistan for showing his support to the writers who have returned awards.
Earlier, bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan on Tuesday joined the chorus against “growing intolerance” in the country, saying that “religious intolerance and not being secular…is the worst kind of crime that you can do as a patriot”.
Adding his voice to growing protests and return of awards by film-makers, scientists, writers and historians over the ‘climate of intolerance’, the actor said while he had no National Film Award to return, he respects the decision of film-makers like Dibakar Banerjee and Anand Patwardhan to give back their honor.
Shahrukh had shown his whole hearted support for the ‘return of awards’ movement, saying that he was ready to return his awards, if the need arose.
