Inflation rate surges to 7.19% in Jan 2019: Bureau of Statistics

KARACHI (92 News) – The inflation rate surged 7.19% in January 2019
According to Bureau of Statistics, the annual inflation rate in Pakistan has climbed one percent in January 2019 as compared to December 2018.Increased prices of gas and other items also caused surge in the inflation.
As per statistics, the fares of public transport increased 50 percent and CNG price hike by 28 percent. The prices of food items are also increased.
Price of tea increased as 17 percent, Cigarettes as 20 percent, kerosene oil as 16 percent,Diesel as 19 percent and domestic cylinder as 15 percent.
