Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar announces new Exit Control Policy

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has on Sunday announced new Exit Control Policy of the country and the abolition of black list in the Exit Control List (ECL).

Address a press conference in Islamabad on Sunday, he said that around 3000 people will kept in the list, adding that 5,000 names on the interior ministry’s ECL would be struck off.

The minister said that only the Passport Control List would be kept that would contain names of those deported from others countries and having dual passports.

He said that former president Pervez Musharraf’s name will be kept in the ECL as per the orders of the court.

Nisar said that the statement of Senator Mushahidullah regarding former ISI chief Zaheerul Islam and PTI’s sit-in was totally baseless, adding that it it is not appropriate for a Pakistani to malign armed forces of the country when they are in a state of war.


Commenting on PTI chairman’s hints towards another sit-in, he said that Imran Khan Khan should be ashamed of accusing individuals.

The minister said that the government has blocked at least 82000 illegal CNIC, adding that the government is tightening its policy regarding CNIC and Passports.
