Interior Ministry receives Nawaz’s plea for removal of name from ECL
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Interior Ministry on Friday received former premier Nawaz Sharif’s application seeking removal of his names from the exit control list (ECL).
The sources, in Interior Ministry, said that the plea has been submitted by the Sharif family for Nawaz Sharif’s treatment abroad. The application adopted a stance that the former prime minister wanted to go abroad for treatment.
The doctors at the Sharif Medical City Hospital have also recommended shifting Nawaz Sharif abroad for treatment.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Friday said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif should go abroad for his treatment immediately.
Talking informal conversations outside accountability court, Maryam Nawaz said that she cannot travel immediately due to her passport in the court. “Nawaz Sharif’s health is very critical,” she added.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif may go abroad for treatment, sources said. The former premier is still facing the platelets issue and the cause of decreasing platelets not traced till now. The sources also said that the former prime minister agreed for treatment from abroad after the family’s consultations.
A day earlier, PML-N spokesperson Marriyam Aurangzeb said the Nawaz Sharif’s platelets dropped once again today due to which his condition remains critical. She said the panel of doctors treating the PML-N supremo is unable to figure out the reason for a sudden drop in his platelets.
On Wednesday, the PML-N quid had reached his residence at Jati Umra in Lahore where a specialised intensive care unit (ICU) was set up for his treatment.
The former premier along with his daughter left Lahore’s Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), where they had been admitted since October 23 and 24, respectively.
Doctors said that there is threat to the life Nawaz Sharif until the treatment of platelets. His sugar level is not under control.
Doctors had discharged Nawaz Sharif from Services Hospital yesterday but he stayed in Services Hospital due to a delay in the issuance of the ‘Robkar’ (release order) of his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
