Ishaq Dar calls on COAS Gen Raheel Sharif
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, during the meeting matters pertaining to capacity building for effective Pak-Afghan border management were discussed.
They also discussed raising of fresh 29 Civil Armed Forces wings.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned COAS General Raheel Sharif and discussed matters pertaining to Indian-held Kashmir and regional situation.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif discussed the meetings with heads of the United Kingdom, Turkey and other countries during his visit to the United States with COAS Gen Raheel Sharif.
They also discussed internal and external threats the country is facing.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address the UN General Assembly session today highlighting core issues of interest to the country.
He is expected to brief the world body and the international community about serious situation in IHK due to grave human rights violations by Indian forces and the need to resolve the longstanding dispute.
