Jahangir Tareen resigns as PTI General Secretary
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Jahnagir Tareen resigned as general secretary of the party following disqualification from the Supreme Court.
In his resignation letter, Tareen stated him and the PTI Chairperson Imran Khan both faced strict accountability. He stated it is inappropriate to hold his post after the SC verdict.
“Imran has turned PTI into a huge political power and I hope he accepts my resignation.”
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday disqualified Jahangir Tareen from holding a public office for concealing his 12-acre Hyde House property in the United Kingdom in nomination his papers before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
