Jahangir Tareen returns from UK for supporting Alvi in presidential election
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen returned from UK to Pakistan on Monday for supporting Dr Arif Alvi in presidential election.
As per details garnered, Tareen returned Pakistan on Alvi’s request for supporting him in the presidential election. He will play a key role in presidential election and will meet with the NA and Senate members.
On the other hand Punjab governor nominee Chaudhry Sarwar also delayed his resignation from Senate membership and will take oath after casting his vote in presidential election. He will likely to take oath on September 5 after the election day on September 4.
On Sunday, Arif Alvi tweeted, “Need to visit all provincial capitals with our team as instructed by Imran Khan to meet our allies and voters and request for their votes. Have asked Jahangir Tareen who is in UK to join us. I think he has had a good vacation and now back to work.”

Earlier, PTI stalwart Jahangir Tareen has played a key role in wooing independent candidates to back the party to form government in the centre and Punjab.
Arif Alvi submitted his nomination papers for the election earlier today in the Islamabad High Court and the Sindh High Court. Polling for the presidential election will be held on September 4.
